The San Francisco 49ers are likely in a position where they have to overpay players, and oh boy might that be the case with one of their signings. NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport is reporting the team is set to sign Kyle Juszczyk to a four-year deal worth up to $21 million.
The highest paid fullback entering the new league year was Anthony Sherman of the Kansas City Chiefs. His contract pays him an average of $2.1 million per year. Juszczyk’s deal will be 2.5 times that amount at $5.25 million per year. Of course, as with any NFL contract the devil is in the details, and we’ll have to wait and see what the guarantees and incentives are like on this one.
